On a cold Halloween night in 1963, six year old Michael Myers brutally murdered his sister. He was locked away for 15 years. But on October 30, 1978, a 21-year-old Michael Myers steals a car and escapes, returning to his hometown of Haddonfield, where he looks for his next victims. When Halloween was sold for broadcast on television in 1980, numerous edits to the film were demanded. Although producer Debra Hill debated these cuts, it became necessary to create additional scenes to fill the two-hour TV slot. Using the crew of Halloween II, as well as stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence, director John Carpenter commenced a three-day shoot of all-new scenes and alternate footage that was then added to the original version. This Extended Cut is rarely screened and offers guests an opportunity to see it on the Big Screen this Spooky Season!
